Private Boat Tour to the Blue Lagoon | Half-Day Experience

krknjaši 1 1

The Blue Lagoon, or Krknjaši Bay, located between the two islands of the same name and Drvenik Veliki, gets its name from the vibrant color of the sea, reminiscent of tropical destinations we often see in advertisements, making it a favorite spot for visitors on a day boat tour.

It is one of the most stunning beaches on the Adriatic, perfect for a day out with family or friends. Swim, dive, and bask in the sun, then indulge in traditional wines and authentic Dalmatian cuisine at a nearby restaurant.

Drvenik Mali

Drvenik Mali is a charming and tranquil island on the Adriatic coast, located just 8 nautical miles from Trogir, making it an ideal starting point for a relaxing day boat tour. Spanning 3.3 square kilometers, this small paradise is unique for its absence of traffic, crystal-clear waters, and serene atmosphere. The island's only settlement, the village of Drvenik Mali, is surrounded by a beautifully indented coastline and shallow waters, ideal for fishing.

The island’s natural beauty, pristine beaches, and peaceful ambiance make it a perfect destination for quiet and intimate getaways, especially when experienced during a leisurely day boat tour. In the sandy bay of Vela Rina, visitors can savor delicious local dishes and fresh seafood at a charming restaurant. During August, the island hosts a traditional fishermen's party, a popular event among locals from Trogir and neighboring islands.

Drvenik Mali’s coastline is dotted with hidden beaches, making it ideal for exploration. Take a day boat tour or rent a boat for the day to uncover the secluded gems of this Middle Dalmatian treasure.

Unlike more touristy destinations, Drvenik Mali remains relatively unknown, ensuring a peaceful experience free from crowds and stress. It’s a haven for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and embrace a slower pace, surrounded by unspoiled nature, the sea, and the timeless charm of Dalmatia.

Covering an area of 11.69 km² with a coastline of 23.885 km, the island’s highest point is Buhalj, standing at 178 meters above sea level. The island's sole settlement is the charming village of Drvenik Veliki. Historical records from the 13th century refer to the island as "Gerona" or "Giruan."

The island's coastline is beautifully indented, making it ideal for a private boat tour, featuring numerous bays with sandy and pebbly beaches. Drvenik Veliki is surrounded by smaller islands, including Krknjaš Mali and Krknjaš Veli to the east and Orud and Mačaknar to the south. Among the highlights is the stunning Solinska Bay on the southern side of the island, as well as the famous Blue Lagoon near the Krknjaši Islands, a must-visit spot known for its clear turquoise waters and serene ambiance.
