Feadship proudly marks another achievement with the unveiling of Project 714, a true gentleman’s yacht, as it emerges from the shed at the Aalsmeer facility. Spanning 79.95 meters, this remarkable vessel is now prepared for its final outfitting and sea trials, bringing it one step closer to joining the prestigious Feadship fleet.
A Masterpiece of Design and Engineering
Project 714’s exterior design, crafted by RWD, showcases elegant, sculpted curves and a striking blue hull, embodying refined sophistication. Every detail has been meticulously designed, staying true to Feadship’s renowned craftsmanship. The naval architecture, developed by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects, ensures the yacht’s performance matches its stunning aesthetics.
Pioneering Hybrid Technology
This vessel also stands as a testament to Feadship’s commitment to cutting-edge innovation. Developed under the Feadship Advanced Electrical Drive (FAED) program, its diesel-electric hybrid power system shares advancements with the groundbreaking Obsidian. With 4.5 times the electrical storage capacity of Feadship’s pioneering hybrid yacht, Savannah, Project 714 is a leap forward in sustainable yachting.
Instead of traditional drive shafts and rudders, the yacht features two contra-rotating thrusters, reducing drag and significantly improving efficiency. Additionally, extensive computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis has fine-tuned the pods and propellers, ensuring minimal vibration and maximizing onboard comfort.
This forward-thinking approach reaffirms Feadship’s dedication to innovation and sustainability, setting new benchmarks in the world of luxury yachting.
