The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust further strengthens its support of young people with cancer by welcoming a new yacht to its fleet: Kalooki, an Oceanis 46.1 Oceanis 46.1.
This acquisition marks an important milestone for the British organisation that, since 2003, has been working to inspire young people aged 8 to 24 living through — and beyond — cancer, to rebuild their confidence and believe in a brighter future.

On board Kalooki, these young explorers discover that sailing can help them achieve freedom, and build up their self-reliance and resilience.
On the water, barriers fall, bonds are forged, and new horizons open up.
2024 was a pivotal year for the association, during which it supported more than 671 young people in all — a record figure since its establishment.
The arrival of Kalooki, the fleet’s largest yacht at 14.6 metres in length, will enable the association to host even more participants in the years to come.
Designed to be accessible to all comers, the yacht has been fitted out to meet the specific needs of young people with reduced mobility, to enable each one to enjoy to the full this transformative experience.
Kalooki thus joins the organisation’s two other Oceanis 45 yachts — Solent Hero and Caledonian Hero — faithful travelling companions since 2017.
Together, they form a committed fleet, serving a profoundly inspiring mission: to help young people rebuild their lives, regain their confidence, and believe once again in the promise of a brighter future.
