A highly meaningful event for the Viareggio-based shipyard, the unveiling of M/Y FORTITUDE1 marks a continuation of a trusted relationship with a returning yacht owner. Meticulously tailored with precision and care, the vessel reflects the hallmark design language of Cassetta Yacht Designers.
Benetti has officially launched M/Y FORTITUDE1, the newest addition to its Class 44M series and the largest fibreglass yacht produced at its Viareggio facility. This yacht embodies a harmonious fusion of elegance, practicality, and personal customisation.
The project is the outcome of a well-established partnership between Benetti, the yacht owner—who previously owned another Benetti—and the Cassetta Yacht Designers studio, which was tasked with shaping both the yacht's exterior and interior aesthetics.

The launch of M/Y FORTITUDE1 via the historic slipway is far more than a milestone in her construction—it’s a deeply symbolic event that honours Italy’s rich seafaring tradition. This time-honoured method of launching, made possible by a sloped slipway, offers a dramatic and emotional transition from land to sea, celebrating the artisanal skill and authentic spirit that define Benetti yachts.
M/Y FORTITUDE1 is designed as a space where people can connect and enjoy the moment together. Abundant natural light floods the interiors through expansive glass panels, emphasising a minimalist yet luxurious architectural style. Elegant materials, like white marble floors on the main deck, combine with soft, neutral hues to create a welcoming and sophisticated environment.
Some of the yacht’s standout features include a sweeping sky lounge with panoramic views, a serene beach club, and an aft main deck area—all conceived as social hubs. These areas bring to life the owner’s desire to enjoy the sea in a setting that fosters togetherness, comfort, and refined relaxation.
The exterior of M/Y FORTITUDE1 presents a fresh take on the classic lines of Benetti’s Class series, blending graceful symmetry with enduring style. The open-air spaces are customized with unique elements, such as an expansive sunbathing area on the Upper Deck, specially created to suit the Owner’s preferences.
Now entering the last stages of preparation, the yacht is on track for handover in summer 2025. This latest creation reinforces Benetti’s reputation as a global leader in luxury yacht building—seamlessly combining Italian craftsmanship, advanced technology, and tailored elegance in each build.
