Mangusta has proudly unveiled the fourth hull of its acclaimed Oceano 39 series, launching from the shipyard in Viareggio. This elegant three-deck displacement yacht reinforces the growing international success of Mangusta’s long-range line, which has proven particularly popular with discerning clients in the United States.
Crafted for an Experienced Owner
The latest Oceano 39 was commissioned by a repeat American owner already familiar with Mangusta’s signature blend of luxury, innovation, and performance. This bespoke project was developed in close collaboration between the client and Mangusta’s design team, ensuring every detail reflected the owner’s personal vision for life at sea.
“Mangusta continues to define bespoke excellence in the U.S.,” said Stefano Arlunno, President of Mangusta Americas. “This fourth launch represents a strategic milestone, solidifying our leadership in one of the world’s most demanding markets. Our ability to anticipate and exceed expectations—delivering spacious, innovative yachts—is the result of a clear vision and seamless teamwork.”
Where Style Meets Functionality
The Oceano 39 combines modern Italian style with the practicality and range required for extensive cruising. Designed by Mangusta’s Engineering Department alongside noted designer Alberto Mancini, the yacht features clean, minimalist lines, expansive glass balustrades, and flowing interiors bathed in natural light.
With an interior volume of 330 GT, the yacht feels generous and airy, while floor-to-ceiling sliding glass panels seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor living spaces. Thoughtful details, like the glass gunwales on the upper deck, enhance the sense of openness and connection to the sea.
Iconic Mangusta Features
Among the hallmarks of the Oceano 39 is the striking beach club at water level, complete with fold-down terraces that expand the space and bring guests closer to the ocean. Forward on the bow, the signature infinity pool—with a partially transparent bottom—allows light to filter down into the master suite below, creating a truly unique ambiance. These elements have become emblematic of Mangusta’s approach to combining luxury with clever design.
For this particular yacht, the interior layout was fine-tuned specifically for American tastes. A notable addition is a central convertible bar in the main salon, perfect for entertaining and socialising while underway—a detail that reflects the client’s lifestyle and the expectations of the U.S. market.
Power and Performance
Powered by twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines producing 2,600 horsepower each, the Oceano 39 delivers an impressive combination of speed and range. Built to cruise comfortably and efficiently in American waters, the yacht promises an unforgettable experience whether island hopping in the Caribbean or exploring the coasts of New England.
A Statement of Excellence
This fourth Oceano 39 not only reflects the owner’s vision but also underscores Mangusta’s reputation as a pioneer of custom-built luxury yachts. With its flawless Italian craftsmanship, intelligent design, and attention to lifestyle preferences, the yacht sets a new standard for long-range cruising in style.
As the U.S. appetite for bespoke, high-performance yachts continues to grow, Mangusta remains at the forefront—a name synonymous with elegance, innovation, and the pure joy of life at sea.
