The Riva Superyacht Division in Ancona has just witnessed a milestone in the shipyard’s history – the official launch of the Riva 54METRI, the largest yacht ever produced by the iconic brand.
Bigger, bolder, and unmistakably Riva: debut of the Riva 54METRI in Ancona
Measuring an impressive 54 metres in length, this all-aluminium flagship blends sheer beauty with refined power, taking the world-famous Riva style into uncharted territory. As the first of its kind, the 54METRI represents not only a leap forward in size but also a new expression of the elegance and innovation that have defined the brand for decades.
Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi praised the launch, calling the vessel “a new dream for every yachting aficionado and Riva devotee – a paragon of style and craftsmanship that honours the visionary genius of Carlo Riva and his pioneering megayacht concepts from the 1960s and 70s.” Designed by Officina Italiana Design and developed with the Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari, together with the Ferretti Group’s engineering team, the yacht carries forward the legacy with contemporary sophistication.
A key contributor to the project was Alain Maaraoui, founder and president of Sea Pros Yachts, Riva’s exclusive dealer in Kuwait, who supported the owner from the initial contract discussions through to delivery.
Design and presence
With a beam of 8.60 metres and a gross tonnage below 500 GT, the Riva 54 METRI remains true to the brand’s timeless aesthetic. Her exterior profile exudes sportiness and grace, enhanced by a colour palette of Moon Grey, London Grey and Bright Black, accented with polished steel and the signature aquamarine waterline.
The yacht spans four decks, linked by a central elevator, and accommodates up to 10 guests across four guest cabins and a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck. The crew quarters house 11 staff members, including the captain, ensuring discreet and efficient service thanks to dedicated circulation routes.
Outdoor living reimagined
The 54METRI is designed to keep guests connected to the sea. At the stern, a transformer platform leads to a beach club with a five-metre pool and sunloungers, while fold-out terraces on both the beach club and main deck expand the living space over the water. The bow features two large sunpads concealing launch systems for a tender, jet ski and water toys, cleverly blending functionality with aesthetics.
Crafted interiors
Inside, the yacht’s décor combines Sahara Noir and Bianco Rhino marble with natural teak and leather accents, creating a sophisticated interplay of textures. Acoustic insulation and vibration-reduction measures – including four electric stabiliser fins and twin electric rudders – ensure serene cruising.
Cutting-edge helm
The bridge is equipped for modern navigation with dual X-band radar, 5G connectivity, Starlink satellite internet, a complete ECDIS system, three 27-inch touchscreens and a 44-inch stretch display.
The launch of the Riva 54METRI marks a defining moment for the brand – a union of heritage, artistry, and forward-thinking design destined to make waves in marinas around the world.
