M/Y Babbo is far more than a luxury explorer yacht—she is the tangible outcome of a family’s long-held ambition. Conceived by three brothers with a passion for the sea, the yacht was designed as a true floating residence, building on their experience with the Darwin 102. As their families grew, so did their wish for additional comfort and volume, but without losing the sense of intimacy and refinement they cherished.
Stylist Francesco Paszkowski shaped her lines with a balance of strength and elegance. The yacht’s purposeful bow and robust stance highlight her readiness for long-range travel, while expansive windows and gracefully extended decks soften her exterior, inviting natural light deep inside.

Design and Exterior
Measuring just under 43 metres in length with a beam of 8.67 metres and a gross tonnage of 476 GT, Babbo offers imposing proportions across three decks plus a generous sundeck. The main deck’s wide-body layout enhances both interior space and flow, creating the impression of a much larger yacht while maintaining harmony of design.
The interior atmosphere reflects timeless style and functionality. It is warm and welcoming, with subtle sophistication rather than excess. Instead of a single dominant owner’s cabin, the yacht offers shared comfort throughout—a deliberate decision underscoring the brothers’ vision of community and equality at sea.
Life aboard Babbo centres on togetherness, with social spaces unfolding seamlessly from interior lounges to exterior decks. Guests can enjoy vast terraces, a tiered beach club, and versatile salons designed for both family gatherings and serene moments at anchor.
Beyond aesthetics, Babbo is engineered for serious voyaging. Hydro Tec’s naval architecture ensures long-range capability and excellent seakeeping, with an efficient hull that minimises fuel consumption and extends her autonomy to over 5,000 nautical miles. This enables her to undertake transoceanic passages or remote exploration in safety and comfort.

Built at CdM’s shipyard, she embodies the yard’s philosophy of strength and dependability. A steel and aluminium build, advanced systems, and meticulous noise reduction measures guarantee reliability and onboard comfort. Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, she combines performance with thoughtful efficiency.
Ultimately, Babbo represents a perfect fusion of adventure and family living—a yacht that offers resilience for exploration, understated elegance, and the warmth of a true home at sea.
