Each autumn, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) transforms South Florida into the global epicentre of yachting excellence. Owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and organised by Informa Markets, FLIBS holds the title of the largest in-water boat show in the world—a true celebration of maritime lifestyle, innovation, and design.
Spread across nearly 90 acres of waterfront and marinas connected by water taxis and shuttle routes, the show welcomes over 100,000 visitors and 1,000 exhibitors from more than 50 countries. In 2022 alone, over 1,300 boats were showcased, from the most advanced superyachts to sleek tenders and marine accessories. Beyond its scale, FLIBS delivers enormous value to the region—generating an estimated $1.79 billion in economic output and more than $85 million in state and local taxes.
This year’s edition, taking place from 29 October to 2 November 2025, is expected to dazzle with world and U.S. premieres from leading shipyards. Among the most anticipated debuts are new models from Sunseeker, Princess Yachts, and Sanlorenzo, each presenting their own interpretation of modern luxury and performance.
Sunseeker 82 Ocean Enclosed
British builder Sunseeker will unveil its 82 Ocean Enclosed, a 25.1-metre model that redefines onboard living. The yacht’s enclosed upper deck hosts the only helm station, leaving abundant room for leisure and entertainment areas. Inspired by Portuguese bridge layouts, it features generous seating, sunpads, and optional spa tubs. The main saloon, designed with the feel of a luxury penthouse apartment, can be tailored to suit each owner’s preferences—from open galley concepts to bar and lounge arrangements.
Princess S80 “Sapphire I”
Also making waves is Sapphire I, the first hull of Princess Yachts’ S80, the flagship of the brand’s sporty S Class line. Measuring 25.4 metres, this new model blends British engineering with Italian style, designed in collaboration with Olesinski and Pininfarina. The yacht’s 28.7-square-metre flybridge is a true outdoor haven, equipped with multiple lounge areas, a wet bar, a barbecue, and even a convertible dining space that transforms into an open-air cinema. It’s a statement of versatility and comfort, confirming Princess’s strong comeback into the superyacht scene.
Sanlorenzo
The renowned Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo arrives at Fort Lauderdale with three major premieres—the SL86A, SX100, and SP92—each capturing a different dimension of the brand’s artistry and innovation.
SL86A: The newest evolution of the asymmetric SL line, featuring an expanded saloon and fluid connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The design maximises natural light and volume while maintaining the elegant Sanlorenzo profile.
SX100: A crossover model that blurs the boundaries between a flybridge yacht and an explorer. Its impressive 90-square-metre aft deck offers unmatched flexibility for lounging, dining, or launching water toys — the ultimate beach club at sea.
SP92: The latest entry in Sanlorenzo’s Smart Performance series, designed for speed, agility, and refined comfort. This sleek, lightweight yacht represents a bold step toward sustainable high-performance cruising.
From European debuts to global reveals, FLIBS 2025 promises to be an unmissable showcase of marine excellence. Whether you’re drawn to Sunseeker’s sophistication, Princess’s dynamic luxury, or Sanlorenzo’s avant-garde craftsmanship, Fort Lauderdale once again proves why it’s called “the yachting capital of the world”.
