Oceanco has announced the official handover of the 111-metre superyacht DreAMBoat, previously known as Project Y726. Commissioned in 2022, this 364-foot vessel is the second yacht bearing the same name built by Oceanco for the same owner. With an impressive volume of 4,550 GT, she ranks among the yard’s most substantial builds to date.
“Outstanding yachts are the product of outstanding partnerships,” says Oceanco CEO Marcel Onkenhout. “Because we had already delivered a yacht to this owner, we began with a strong mutual understanding. That foundation allowed us to move quickly from vision to reality.”
Naval architecture comes from Lateral in collaboration with Oceanco’s internal engineering team, while the exterior lines were crafted by Espen Øino International. Mark Berryman Design shaped the warm, understated interior. Falcon Yacht Management and Wright Maritime Group oversaw the project on behalf of the owner.
What makes DreAMBoat particularly notable is the pace at which she was created. Early discussions began in November 2021, the contract was finalised just three months later, and delivery followed in November 2025—representing the fastest turnaround for a yacht of this size in Oceanco’s history. This accelerated timeline was made possible by the owner's hands-on involvement and the collaborative spirit between all stakeholders.
“DreamBoat showcases what can be achieved when everyone is united behind a single objective,” says A.J. Anderson of Wright Maritime Group. “We are honoured to have supported the owner in bringing such a remarkable vessel to life.”
A PERSONAL VISION BROUGHT TO LIFE
Like her earlier namesake, the new DreAMBoat was conceived as a place to gather with loved ones. Drawing on extensive prior ownership experience, the owner worked closely with the yard to refine every detail for an even more personalised onboard lifestyle. The result includes accommodation for up to 28 guests and 34 crew, along with a diverse collection of amenities intended for both private retreat and social moments.
“My relationship with Oceanco started on a strong note and only improved,” the owner explains. “They listened. They cared about understanding my vision. Watching your ideas materialise in this way is deeply fulfilling.”
Outdoor highlights include a sheltered cocktail terrace, a winter garden, an open-air cinema, and a dedicated private deck for the owner. A large aft entertainment area features a pool and jacuzzi, while the sundeck houses a cutting-edge golf simulator—an addition the owner specifically requested.
Inside, guests have access to a cinema lounge, gym, full spa with sauna and steam room, and a beach club opening directly onto the water. Floor-to-ceiling glass is used extensively to enhance natural light and panoramic views.
“For the crew, it has been an immense privilege to be involved from the start,” says Captain Andre Salt. “Having worked on the first DreAMBoat, it has been extraordinary to witness how the program evolved. The owner cultivated an inclusive environment that enabled the crew to refine operations and grow. Delivering this yacht in just four years is a testament to the dedication and shared passion of everyone involved.”
BREAKTHROUGH SPEED AND TEAMWORK
One of the project’s central goals was achieving delivery in record time without compromising craftsmanship or design ambitions. Oceanco rose to the challenge, compressing the typical timeline for a fully custom yacht of this scale by roughly 18 months. Such efficiency is exceptional in the superyacht world, particularly with fully bespoke exterior and interior work.
“Absolute transparency and trust across the entire team made it possible,” explains Oceanco Project Director Edske Smit. “The owner was deeply engaged, making major decisions early—sometimes within hours. The designers were equally responsive, and our co-makers played a crucial role in maintaining momentum.”
Lateral’s Programme Director, Lee Archer, adds, “This project shows how sophisticated engineering and fast-paced design can operate in harmony. Aligning countless technical interfaces under time pressure requires expert coordination and unified purpose.”
DRIVING INDUSTRY-WIDE PROGRESS
The owner, who places strong emphasis on sustainability, viewed the build as an opportunity to advance environmental thinking in yacht construction. With the owner’s backing, Oceanco collaborated with engineering consultancy Royal Haskoning to develop a pioneering Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tool that quantifies a yacht’s total carbon footprint—from construction through operational life.
Using real, independently validated data, the LCA tool guided decisions throughout the project to reduce environmental impact. This included integrating a battery system for peak-shaving and lower emissions, as well as choosing sustainable interior finishes from Nature Squared, known for transforming natural waste materials like eggshells and coconut shells into artisanal surfaces.
The LCA system is now permanently incorporated into Oceanco’s methodology, offering future clients transparent insight into how materials and design choices affect energy consumption and long-term sustainability.
