Azimut Reveals Interior Details of Its New Fly 82 Flagship
Azimut has lifted the curtain on the interiors of its new Fly 82, a 24.8-metre yacht that now sits at the top of the shipyard’s highly successful Fly range. First introduced in September last year, the Fly 82 joins a lineup that already spans six models between 16.8 and 23.6 metres, reinforcing the brand’s strong presence in the flybridge segment.
The yacht’s exterior styling was penned by long-standing Azimut collaborator Alberto Mancini, while the interior design comes from Fabio Fantolino, marking his third contribution to the Fly series.

A Softer, More Expressive Interior Identity
Newly released images showcase an interior concept that leans toward understated sophistication, combining refined materials with a warmer, more expressive palette. A distinctive orange-brown accent tone introduces a fresh layer of personality, giving the Fly 82 a more contemporary and character-driven atmosphere compared to earlier models.

At the heart of the main saloon is a large circular dining table, positioned against a bronze-tinted glass partition that subtly defines the space while encouraging social interaction. The area is complemented by a generous L-shaped sofa and freestanding armchairs, creating a relaxed yet elegant environment. Floor-to-ceiling glazing floods the saloon with daylight, enhancing the sense of openness and connection to the sea.
Layout Innovations and Expanded Outdoor Living
Accommodation on board is arranged across four guest cabins, supported by two separate crew cabins. Azimut describes the Fly 82 as a blend of familiar brand DNA and new spatial solutions, representing a clear evolution in the yard’s approach to indoor-outdoor living.

Notably, the Fly 82 is the first yacht in the Fly series to feature Azimut’s Deck2Deck™ terrace system, a concept originally introduced on the Grande 26M in 2023. Designed to increase usable social space at the stern, the system incorporates a transom that opens and lifts to align with the aft edge of the main deck, effectively extending the living area outward toward the water.
Design, Performance, and Technology
For the exterior, Mancini adopted a sculptural design language defined by crisp, flowing lines intended to suggest movement even when the yacht is stationary. The Fly 82 is powered by triple Volvo Penta engines, delivering a top speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of around 25 knots.

The hull has been optimised by Pierluigi Ausonio Naval Architecture in collaboration with the Azimut|Benetti Group’s R&D team. Clients can select IPS propulsion systems, which the yard says can reduce CO₂ emissions by between 20 and 30 per cent. The yacht is also equipped with WATCHIT Eye, an AI-based collision avoidance system developed specifically for yachting applications.
Market Presence and Outlook
The Fly 82 was recently showcased at boot Düsseldorf, marking its first major public appearance.
The Fly 82 arrives as another statement model during a busy boat show season, following the recent unveiling of a new explorer-orientated yacht within the Italian builder’s broader portfolio.
