Italian shipyard Benetti has introduced B.Neos, a 40-metre hybrid yacht conceived to reshape everyday life on board through a careful balance of design, technology, and understated luxury. Developed in collaboration with Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design and FM Architettura, the project brings together deep nautical expertise and a progressive vision of modern ownership—one that favours intelligent simplicity over excess.
At first glance, B.Neos presents a restrained, low-profile silhouette inspired by the purity of sailing yachts. Rather than aiming for visual dominance, the exterior prioritises proportion and harmony, resulting in a profile that feels elegant, purposeful, and timeless. This philosophy continues indoors, where interiors by Francesca Muzio avoid monumental gestures in favour of warmth, tactility, and a lived-in atmosphere. Within a volume of 296 gross tonnes, spaces are optimised for comfort and flow, supporting a lifestyle that transitions effortlessly between shore and sea.

B.Neos: A New Vision of Contemporary Yachting
Hybrid propulsion lies at the very heart of the yacht’s architecture, not as an optional upgrade but as a defining principle. Designed to elevate onboard comfort, the system enables silent, zero-emission cruising—allowing owners and guests to enjoy moments such as family lunches or evenings at anchor without vibration, exhaust fumes, or mechanical noise. The experience is defined instead by the sound of the sea and the surrounding natural environment.

Hybrid Propulsion as a Core Architectural Principle
Power is provided by twin MAN V8-800 engines integrated into a multi-mode hybrid system. B. Neos can operate in Zero-Emission and Hotel modes for fully electric silence, Diesel-Electric and Crossover modes for optimised efficiency, or Boost Mode when additional power and manoeuvrability are required. This holistic approach delivers an estimated 30 per cent reduction in energy consumption compared to conventional yachts of similar size, while also allowing for a more compact engine room—freeing up valuable space aft and bringing the yacht closer to the water.
Connected Living: Technology Beyond Propulsion
Technology on board extends beyond propulsion. B.Neos introduces a fully connected ecosystem designed to simplify operations and enhance reliability. Advanced home automation, ultra-fast connectivity via 5G and Starlink, and the integration of augmented reality and artificial intelligence support both crew and shipyard. Using smart devices, crew members can access hidden systems and real-time data, while Benetti can provide remote diagnostics and guidance—ensuring issues are anticipated and resolved before they affect life on board.

The layout reflects a shift toward informal, contemporary living. A long aft pool flows naturally into the Sea Atrium, a light-filled space with 2.4-metre-high ceilings enclosed by floor-to-ceiling glass. This area reinterprets the traditional beach club as a social centre rather than a transitional zone. At the heart of the yacht is the Family Kitchen—an open, domestic-style space intended for shared meals and spontaneous gatherings, reducing the sense of separation between guests and crew. When required, a sliding glass partition allows the area to transform for more formal dining.

An Owner’s Deck Rarely Seen on a 40-Metre Yacht
Forward placement of the wheelhouse on the Main Deck has enabled the creation of a dedicated Owner’s Deck above—an arrangement rarely seen on yachts of this size. The private owner’s apartment spans the forward section of the Upper Deck, offering panoramic 270-degree views and a level of privacy more commonly associated with yachts exceeding 60 metres. Above, an observation deck crowned with a generous sunpad provides a quiet retreat between sea and sky.
Beyond design and technology, B.Neos introduces a new ownership model focused on long-term confidence. Benetti’s Peace of Mind programme combines extended warranties, preventive maintenance, remote monitoring, and dedicated crew training through a specialised academy. Lifestyle support is delivered via Yachtique, the Azimut|Benetti Group’s interior design division, which manages everything from tableware to soft furnishings. These elements come together in Yacht as a Service (YaaS), a fully integrated five-year solution that unites yacht and services into a single, managed ownership experience.
With B.Neos, Benetti presents not just a new yacht but a contemporary interpretation of luxury—one defined by silence, balance, and a deeper connection to life at sea.
