ISA Yachts has introduced the Blade 70-metre, a new concept that also signals the beginning of a strategic collaboration with Lobanov Design, the studio headed by Igor Lobanov and widely recognised for its bold, sculptural interpretation of contemporary yacht styling.
According to Giuseppe Palumbo, sole director of Palumbo Superyachts, the project represents an important step in the evolution of the ISA Yachts brand. He said the Blade 70-metre offers a fresh expression of the yard’s design identity, while the partnership with Lobanov Design is built on a common commitment to originality, innovation and a strong visual signature. He also revealed that the two sides are already working together on an even larger superyacht project.
The new concept has been developed with the goal of redefining elegance in the grand sport yacht segment, a class typically associated with high-performance yachts characterised by vertical or near-vertical bows. With Blade, the design team has placed particular emphasis on individuality and visual character, taking inspiration from the refined lines of historic ships from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

One of the yacht’s most distinctive features is its bow, which adopts a subtly reversed and concave profile. This area is enhanced by polished stainless-steel accents, while technical elements such as the anchor pocket and fairleads have been carefully concealed or custom-designed to preserve a clean and highly sophisticated appearance.
The yacht’s exterior has been conceived as one uninterrupted sculptural form, with smooth, flowing lines running from bow to stern. Graphic elements on the hull are deliberately understated and integrated into the overall volume, while the glazing introduces additional character through dotted-film glass panels and a striking black insert placed low and forward near the waterline. Together, these details give the yacht a strong and instantly recognisable profile. Above, the superstructure combines expansive glass surfaces with black-painted sections, finished with a gentle curve intended to suggest motion and speed.
Further character comes from a series of bespoke design details, including recessed teak features, custom fender elements and a transforming aft garage and beach club door. When closed, this section becomes a wooden bench facing the sea, adding another layer to the yacht’s outdoor lifestyle concept.
Inside, the arrangement reflects a more contemporary owner-focused approach. The master suite is positioned aft on the upper deck, where it benefits from greater privacy, direct access to a private terrace and uninterrupted sea views.

From a technical standpoint, the ISA Blade 70 m is designed with a gross tonnage of 1,300 GT, a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure. Power comes from a pair of MTU 12V4000 M53L engines, each producing 1,771 kW. This setup is expected to deliver a top speed of 17.5 knots while cruising at 14 knots. At that speed, the yacht will have a range of around 5,000 nautical miles.
With the Blade 70-metre, Palumbo Superyachts is further expanding its presence in the large sport superyacht market while underlining its ambition to create projects with a strong and memorable identity.
