Aquila has made a strong impression ahead of the 2026 Yacht Style Awards, with four of its catamarans nominated across multiple categories. The shortlisted models are the Aquila 36 Molokai, Aquila 45 Sport, Aquila 46 Yacht, and Aquila 50 Sail. The winners are set to be revealed on April 22 at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove in Singapore, just before the Singapore Yachting Festival begins.
Recognised as one of the most prestigious gatherings on the regional yachting calendar, the Yacht Style Awards attracts an exclusive audience of more than 300 invited guests, including yacht owners, industry leaders and VIPs. The event celebrates standout achievements across more than 30 categories.
Aquila 36 Molokai nominated among power catamarans under 12 metres
The Aquila 36 Molokai has been shortlisted in the Power Catamaran under 12m category. Introduced to the market at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October 2025, the model was created as a dedicated fishing platform for owners who want serious offshore performance in a compact, trailer-friendly format.

Penned in collaboration with Peart Yacht Design, the same studio behind the larger 47 Molokai, the 36-footer combines practical angling features with unusual levels of comfort for its size. One of its most distinctive qualities is its enclosed cabin, which includes a private bathroom, generous natural light through hull windows, and the option of air-conditioning powered by an off-grid lithium battery system. This makes overnight trips far more realistic than on many competing boats in this segment.
On deck, the layout is designed for easy movement from bow to stern, with no raised section forward to interrupt circulation. Key fishing details include a tuna door on the side, a bait-prep station built into the leaning post, and full walk-around access ahead of the engines. The hull design uses double steps for performance, while the carbon-fibre hardtop is engineered to accommodate an optional tower without requiring structural modification.
Aquila 45 Sport and Aquila 46 Yacht shortlisted in the 12-16 metre class
In the Power Catamaran 12-16m category, Aquila has secured two of the three places on the shortlist with the Aquila 45 Sport and Aquila 46 Yacht. Although they share the same class, the two models cater to very different boating lifestyles.
Aquila 45 Sport
The Aquila 45 Sport represents the flagship of the brand’s Sport series and made its world debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in March 2026. Styled by Yacht Design Works in Florida, the yacht takes inspiration from premium SUVs, with assertive exterior lines and a strong emphasis on entertaining.

Its standout feature is the cockpit area aft, where hydraulic fold-down terraces expand the beam from 15 to 19 feet. This creates a far larger waterside leisure space than is typically found on boats of this size. The social setup is further enhanced by two U-shaped seating zones that can be transformed into a large sunpad, while the galley can be specified with extras such as a barbecue and television. A built-in stainless-steel swim ladder adds to the easy connection with the water.
Performance is another headline feature. Powered by twin 600 hp Mercury Verado V12 outboards and supported by Aquila’s double-stepped hull platform, the 45 Sport can exceed 50 mph while maintaining efficient cruising speeds in the 30 to 40 mph range. Below deck, accommodation includes a king-size cabin with a private wet head and overhead skylight, allowing the yacht to serve as a capable weekender as well as a day boat. It also carries CE certification in categories B, C and D.
Aquila 46 Yacht
Also nominated in the same class, the Aquila 46 Yacht presents a more cruising-orientated proposition. Drawing inspiration from the styling direction of the larger 50-foot yacht, it offers an explorer-style look in a more manageable size.
With a 23 ft 3 in beam, the 46 Yacht delivers a level of interior space often associated with much larger vessels. At the same time, its CE Category A certification underlines its offshore credentials. The model first appeared at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2025 before making its Americas debut one month later in Fort Lauderdale.

A key advantage of the 46-foot yacht is its flexibility. Buyers can choose between three-, four- or five-cabin arrangements, and the four-cabin version can later be reconfigured into a three-cabin owner-focused layout. Large panoramic glazing, a fully equipped galley with induction cooking and domestic-style refrigeration, plus a spacious flybridge with direct access to the foredeck, all contribute to its appeal as a long-range cruiser and entertaining platform. For owners prioritising fuel efficiency, the optional Aquila Hydro Glide foil-assist system is also available.
The model is due to make its Asia-Pacific debut at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.
Aquila 50 Sail gains recognition in sailing catamaran category
Aquila’s move into the sailing segment has also received industry attention, with the Aquila 50 Sail nominated in the Sailing Catamaran under 14-18m division. It joins a competitive field that includes the Bali 5.2, Catana Ocean Class², and Leopard 52.
The 50 Sail made its first public appearance at the Miami International Boat Show in February 2026. Its European premiere is scheduled for the International Multihull Show in La Grande Motte, taking place in the same week as the Yacht Style Awards, while its Asia-Pacific debut will follow at Sanctuary Cove in May.
Developed together with long-time partner J&J Design, the model is offered in two versions: the 50ES, fitted with the Hybrid Ocean Drive electric propulsion system, and the 50DS, powered by conventional diesel engines. Accommodation layouts include four-, five- and six-cabin versions, all designed with private access, ensuite bathrooms and full-height walk-in showers. In the owner’s suite, large hull windows help maximise light and strengthen the connection to the sea.

The deck arrangement reflects a strong focus on liveability. A lounge area in the bow adds another social zone, while the route from the bridge to the foredeck has been designed to keep movement simple and safe. Instead of the trampoline often seen on sailing catamarans, Aquila opted for a solid foredeck, creating more practical, usable space. Inside, wide windows in the salon and galley ensure the interior remains open, bright and visually connected to the surrounding water.
The Aquila 50 Sail is also in contention for the Multihull of the Year 2026 award. Public voting remains open until April 18, with the winners to be announced in La Grande Motte on April 22.
Recognition extends beyond the boats
Aquila’s success on the shortlist is not limited to its models alone. Sino Eagle, the shipyard where all Aquila catamarans are built, has also been nominated in the Builder in Asia category. Based in Hangzhou, China, the purpose-built facility employs around 500 staff and operates across four construction buildings. The yard uses a vinylester resin infusion process throughout the entire Aquila range, and its nomination places it alongside some of the most respected shipbuilders in the Asia-Pacific region, including Horizon and Cheoy Lee.
There is also recognition for the brand’s dealer network. Tam Son Yachting in Vietnam is shortlisted in the Domestic Dealer in Asia category, while Europa Yachts in Indonesia and the Philippines, Marine Italia Asia in Hong Kong, and Primus Marine across several Southeast Asian markets have all earned nominations in the Regional Dealer in Asia category. Their presence on the shortlist reflects Aquila’s growing influence in markets where demand for multihulls continues to strengthen.
