Mangusta has officially launched the first GranSport 34, with the new model touching the water on 8 April at Overmarine’s shipyard in Viareggio. The debut marks the arrival of a new generation in the GranSport family, building on the strong reputation of the GranSport 33, a model that has already achieved multiple awards and seen 12 deliveries to date.
The new 34-metre yacht takes that platform a step further, combining updated technology with a more modern visual identity. Developed by Alberto Mancini together with the Overmarine Group Engineering Department, the yacht has been designed to preserve the sporty spirit of the range while introducing a more refined and adaptable onboard experience.
At first glance, the GranSport 34 stays true to the sleek, dynamic look for which Mangusta is known. But beyond its aggressive profile, the yacht has been conceived with a strong emphasis on comfort and versatility. The aim was not only to deliver speed and performance, but also to create an environment that feels spacious and easy to live on, in a way more often associated with larger superyachts.
One of the key advantages of the model is its shallow draught, a feature that significantly broadens where the yacht can cruise. Measuring 33.9 metres in length with a 7.4-metre beam, the GranSport 34 is tailored for owners who want to move easily through coastal and shallow-water destinations without giving up the benefits of a high-performance yacht.
The design also places particular focus on the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. Larger glazed sections on both the main and lower decks help open up the yacht visually, creating stronger links with the sea and allowing more daylight into the interior. This gives the yacht a brighter, more open atmosphere and supports the kind of fluid lifestyle owners increasingly expect, whether cruising, entertaining or simply relaxing on board.
A standout feature of the layout is the main-deck owner’s suite, which spans around 40 square metres. Guest accommodation is located on the lower deck and includes four cabins arranged as two VIPs and two doubles, while the crew area provides three cabins. The overall configuration is designed to offer a balance between guest comfort, privacy and efficient service.
Power comes from four Volvo Penta IPS engines, a setup chosen not only for performance but also for ease of handling and onboard comfort. The propulsion package offers strong manoeuvrability while also helping reduce fuel use, vibration and noise levels. The yacht is capable of reaching 24 knots, while also delivering the range needed for more ambitious cruising plans.
From a technical perspective, the GranSport 34 also introduces notable updates over the previous 33-metre model. Both the aft cockpit and the garage have been enlarged to accommodate SCR filters, now required for operation in ECA zones, including areas such as the US coastline. That is particularly relevant for this first hull, which has been built for an American owner and is scheduled for delivery by the end of May 2026.
According to Stefano Arlunno, President of Mangusta Americas, the model has already been generating strong interest in the overseas market. He notes that six units of the GranSport 33 were delivered to clients in the United States, highlighting the appeal of a yacht that combines sporty styling, generous internal volume, speeds of up to 24 knots and the shallow draught needed for cruising grounds such as the US and the Caribbean.
With the launch of the first GranSport 34, Mangusta appears to be extending a formula that has already proved successful — blending performance, usable luxury and practical cruising capability into a package aimed squarely at owners who want both style and freedom on the water.
