Damen Yachting has announced the successful redelivery and departure of the Amels 242 SYNTHESIS from its facility in Vlissingen following a comprehensive refit, writes Damenyachting.
Michel Coens, Head of Refit & Services at Damen Yachting, emphasized the significance of the refit process, stating, “A refit is rarely just about change. It is about recognising the enduring value already present in a yacht and carrying that forward with care, precision and deep technical understanding. For SYNTHESIS, returning to the yard where she was originally built brings a special depth to that process. With our knowledge of her design, engineering and build history, combined with the discipline and craftsmanship of a full-scale new build yard, we are able to help preserve her character while preparing her for the future.”
Delivered in 2021, the Amels 242 SYNTHESIS is part of the Limited Editions range, featuring exterior design by Tim Heywood and interior design by Winch Design. The yacht was awarded Best Interior Design, Motor Yachts 500GT and Above at the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards during the Superyacht Design Festival in Milan in 2022.
