The first unit of the Mangusta GranSport 34 was launched at Overmarine’s shipyard in Viareggio on April 8, marking the start of a new phase for the GranSport line. The yacht builds on the Mangusta GranSport 33, a multi-award-winning model of which 12 units have been delivered so far, while introducing updated technology and a more contemporary design.
Designed by Alberto Mancini in close cooperation with Overmarine Group’s Engineering Department, the Mangusta GranSport 34 combines sporty lines, strong performance and a more versatile layout. The yacht is intended to deliver high comfort alongside speed, with onboard liveability designed to reach a level of flexibility usually associated with much larger vessels.
With a length of 33.9 metres and a beam of 7.4 metres, the model also features a limited draught, making navigation in shallow waters easier and expanding cruising possibilities. The yacht is presented as offering not just a cruising style, but the freedom to enjoy the sea at a slower pace.
Interiors and exteriors are more closely connected, with larger glazed surfaces on both the main and lower decks helping create smoother transitions between cruising, relaxation and social areas. The design also aims to maintain constant visual contact with the sea, supported by generous volumes throughout the yacht.
One of the model’s key features is the approximately 40 sq. m master stateroom on the main deck. The lower deck includes four guest cabins, arranged as two VIP and two double cabins, along with three crew cabins, in a layout designed to balance liveability, privacy and operational efficiency.
The Mangusta GranSport 34 is powered by four Volvo Penta IPS engines, which provide manoeuvrability, lower consumption, reduced vibrations and low noise levels. It has a maximum speed of 24 knots and a range suited to long-distance cruising.
Compared with the 33-metre predecessor, the project has also been updated technically. The aft cockpit and garage have been enlarged to accommodate SCR filters, now required for cruising in ECA areas, including along US coastlines. The first unit was built for an American owner, with delivery expected by the end of May 2026.
Stefano Arlunno, President of Mangusta Americas, said the model is being received enthusiastically overseas. “The Mangusta GranSport 34 is being met enthusiastically overseas. As many as 6 units of the 33-metre model were delivered to American clients. The secret of this model’s success lies in its sporty profile and the flawless balance between generous volumes, a speed of up to 24 knots, and a very limited draught – a vital feature to cruise in US waters and the Caribbean,” he said.
