The Solitaire du Figaro Paprec 2026 has ended after three weeks of racing, with Nicolas Lunven taking the overall title in the 57th edition and Paul Loiseau winning the BENETEAU Rookies Trophy for the best first-time participant.
A major event on the offshore racing calendar, the Solitaire du Figaro Paprec brought together 36 skippers who set off from Perros-Guirec on 17 May and completed three legs: Perros-Guirec to Vigo, Vigo to Pornichet, and Pornichet to Le Havre. Over nearly 1,600 miles, the fleet faced changing conditions, tactical decisions and a highly competitive field.
Paul Loiseau leads the rookie standings
From the opening leg, Paul Loiseau, sailing for Région Bretagne – CMB Espoir, established himself as the leading rookie. He confirmed that form by winning both the rookie and overall standings on the second leg as well.
In the final leg between Pornichet and Le Havre, Paul Cousin of Région Normandie took the rookie honours for that stage. Across the full race, however, Loiseau’s consistency secured him the 2026 BENETEAU Rookies Trophy.
BENETEAU highlights the role of the Figaro BENETEAU 3
BENETEAU, a long-time partner of the Classe Figaro and the Solitaire du Figaro Paprec, said it was proud to support the event once again. The company also pointed to the Figaro BENETEAU 3, which it described as a benchmark in one-design racing since its launch.
Through the Solitaire du Figaro Paprec, the platform continues to serve as a demanding stage for emerging sailing talent.
