The superyacht industry has a new benchmark for value and features with the debut of the Majesty 145. Built by Gulf Craft in Dubai, this 45.3-meter vessel is the second largest boat they have ever produced and stands as one of the largest GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) yachts currently on the market. In a review and sea trial provided by the YouTube channel YachtBuyer, host Jack Haines explores whether this $22.7 million masterpiece offers the most bang for your buck in the luxury sector.
Competitive Price, Exceptional Specification
At a price point of $22.7 million for hull number one, the Majesty 145 represents a significant investment, yet it is positioned as a more affordable alternative to metal yachts built by major European manufacturers. Despite its competitive pricing, the yacht is absolutely packed with features that often come as expensive extras on other brands. The builders have successfully integrated six ensuite cabins, two pools, a sauna, and a gym into a 420-gross-tonnage frame.
While some might argue the fine detailing differs from brands like Azimut or San Lorenzo, the Majesty 145 compensates by offering more space and standard amenities than many of its competitors.
Sea-Focused Exterior and Social Deck Spaces
The exterior of the Majesty 145 is designed for ultimate relaxation and connection to the sea. The aft deck features a terrace design centered around a large pool with jets and a transparent transom that looks out over the water. This area is enhanced by drop-down balconies on both sides, which provide additional seating and catch the breeze even when the yacht is stationary.
Moving up to the sundeck, guests find a second infinity pool hot tub surrounded by sun pads, offering elevated views of the surroundings. This deck also includes a substantial bar with marble tops and two sociable seating areas protected by a hardtop. A clever design feature includes sliding doors that can seal off the dining section to protect guests from strong winds.
Luxury Interior, Owner’s Suite, and Guest Accommodation
The interior reflects a step up in luxury for Gulf Craft, featuring a design by Cristiano Gatto, known for his work on high-pedigree yachts like the 84-meter Savannah. The main saloon is anchored by a massive 12-person marble dining table and squishy curved sofas facing a 65-inch pop-up TV. Large windows throughout the deck ensure the interior is flooded with natural light.
The owner's cabin, located forward on the main deck, is a standout space. It includes a spectacular desk with a view, a wall of storage, and a private balcony that opens at the touch of a button. The ensuite bathroom is equally impressive, featuring crystal basins and a twin rainfall shower. Most notably, an infrared sauna comes as a standard feature in the owner's suite, a luxury typically reserved as a costly option.
The lower deck houses five of the six guest cabins, a rare configuration for a yacht of this size. This includes two identical VIP cabins, two twin cabins, and a forward double cabin. Each cabin is designed with large hull windows to maintain a constant connection with the water and features auto lighting that activates upon entry.
Strong Crew Facilities and Long-Range Capability
The crew quarters are also remarkably spacious, separated on the port side to ensure guest privacy. The galley is a professional-grade stainless steel space with extensive cooling storage, including a walk-in fridge and freezer. With a dedicated laundry area and high-quality cabins for the crew, the Majesty 145 is well-equipped for long-term charters or private use.
Beyond its luxury, the Majesty 145 is a capable long-range cruiser. Powered by twin 2,400 horsepower MTU engines, it reaches a top speed of 22 knots. At a cruising speed of 11 to 12 knots, the yacht boasts an impressive 4,000 nautical mile range, making it a true transatlantic vessel.
One of its most practical features is a shallow draft of just under 2.3 meters. This allows the yacht to access shallower waters, such as those in the Bahamas, which might be unreachable for similar-sized steel yachts. Additionally, the vessel is equipped with fin stabilizers that remain active at rest, ensuring a stable experience for guests even when anchored.
