In a recent walkthrough shared by the official Jeanneau YouTube channel, Sandy Mounereau, the Operational Marketing Manager for Jeanneau Powerboats, showcased the TH38—the impressive flagship of the Jeanneau TH line. Designed to offer a true home on the water, this power catamaran is a testament to the brand's philosophy of providing freedom, generous spaces, and a functional layout for an effortless boating experience. By combining the expertise of the renowned Italian design studio Camillo Garonni for styling and the Lombard studio for the hull, the TH38 delivers a perfect balance of performance and stability.
Size, Power, and Easy Handling
The Jeanneau TH38 measures 38'9 in length with a substantial beam of 14'8, making it a stable and spacious platform certified to carry up to 14 people. When it comes to power, owners can choose between twin Mercury 300 hp outboard engines or the 350 hp version seen in the walkthrough. This setup allows for a comfortable cruising speed ranging from 16 to 21 knots, all while maintaining remarkable fuel efficiency. One of its most striking features is its maneuverability; the TH38 is capable of turning on the spot without the need for a bow thruster, making port maneuvers a pleasure for the driver.
Flexible Aft Cockpit for Every Occasion
Versatility is at the heart of the TH38’s design, particularly in the aft cockpit. The layout is highly modular and can be adapted into three distinct styles. In the swim layout, the two bench seats slide apart to create a central passageway nearly 40 feet long, leading directly to the water via a large aft platform and built-in swim ladder. For social gatherings, the meal or drinks layout allows the benches to slide together, creating a cozy space for guests. Finally, by lowering the tables, the entire area converts into a massive sundeck for relaxation.
The cockpit is protected by a generous hardtop fitted with a full windscreen, shielding passengers from both sun and heavy weather. In the center of this social hub is a fully-fitted galley featuring a gas hob, electric grill, sink, and a 90 L fridge. The opposite side provides a second half of the galley with a large worktop for cooking and an additional 90 L fridge. To enhance the atmosphere, the hardtop includes a built-in sound system and ambient lighting, while the quality upholstery and soft fabrics add a high-end feeling of comfort throughout the vessel.
Helm Technology and Forward Living Space
The helm station of the TH38 is designed for both functionality and ease of use. It features a sliding driver's seat and a two-seater co-pilot bench. Navigation is handled through two 16 Garmin displays, and the boat is equipped with a throttle lever featuring automatic trim, a joystick with dynamic positioning, and an autopilot system. Thanks to the catamaran hull, the TH38 glides through waves smoothly and effortlessly, providing a level of stability that will surprise even seasoned sailors. For added comfort in various climates, the helm station also includes an optional air-conditioning vent.
Moving forward, the boat offers another protected cockpit that is equally pleasant at anchor or underway. This space is highly versatile, with benches that convert into a sunbathing area and a table for evening meals looking out to sea. It is fully equipped with its own drawer fridge, USB sockets, and a sunshade. Below deck, the TH38’s generous size allows for two identical cabins, one in each hull for complete privacy. Each cabin is flooded with natural light and features a king-size double bed, plenty of storage, and an ensuite bathroom with a separate shower, washbasin, and toilet. This layout ensures that every guest enjoys a premium experience without compromise.
