The fifth unit of the Mangusta GranSport 54 was launched at Overmarine’s shipyard in Pisa on Wednesday, June 24, marking another milestone for the brand’s fast displacement line. The yacht is designed to combine high performance with comfort on long ocean crossings.
Three Mangusta 54 yachts are already cruising in American waters, and the launch of this fifth unit highlights the model’s appeal in the U.S. market. Mangusta Americas President Stefano Arlunno said the model reflects the needs of American owners, where speed, design and innovation remain key priorities.
The launching ceremony in Pisa was attended by the owner and his family, teams from Marine Max brokerage house and Nicolai Yacht Consulting, as well as Overmarine personnel. The event also paid tribute to the craftsmanship, technical skill and design expertise that have defined Mangusta’s work for four decades.
The Mangusta GranSport 54 was developed through cooperation between Overmarine Group’s Engineering Department, engineer Ausonio and designer Alberto Mancini. With its slender profile, powerful propulsion, cruising speed and optimized volumes, the yacht combines the character of a sporty vessel with Mediterranean-style sophistication.
Its design features include sleek lines, a sculpted stern, air vents integrated into the bulwarks and a raked windscreen connected to the roll-bar. The yacht is also built around outdoor living, with interior and exterior spaces flowing into one another and large glazed surfaces bringing natural light into the interior.
The Mangusta GranSport 54 has a range of up to 4,200 nautical miles at 12 knots. Four Rolls Royce 2,600 HP MTU engines paired with four propellers give it a top speed of 29 knots.
