FJORD has introduced the new FJORD 440 Open, a motor yacht unveiled on 24 July 2026 with up to 960 hp, an innovative cockpit layout, a hydraulic bathing platform and an interior developed with Design Unlimited.
The model is presented as a new evolution of the brand’s open-air concept, combining inboard performance, onboard technology and a layout focused on life outdoors.
The spacious cockpit is the social centre of the FJORD 440 Open, with a large dining area and an opening galley designed for relaxed lunches, evening drinks and long days on the water.
One of the yacht’s most distinctive features is the electrically reversible aft bench. With the push of a button, it changes from standard cockpit seating into a stern-facing lounge with uninterrupted views across the bathing platform and wake.
A 55-inch television lowers from the aerodynamically refined T-Top, bringing entertainment into the open-air living space without affecting the clean deck layout.
Volvo Penta power and a new helm layout
The FJORD 440 Open is powered by twin Volvo Penta inboard engines. The standard setup delivers 680 hp in total, while the optional twin D6-480 configuration raises output to 960 hp.
FJORD says the yacht is designed for immediate response, precise handling and confident cruising in a wide range of conditions.
The helm has been built around clarity, comfort and control, combining throttle, joystick and digital systems in one interface. Exclusive sculpted FJORD helm seats are included for support on longer passages.
A six-camera system provides live views around the yacht to assist with manoeuvring and docking, while the wider wrap-around windscreen adds protection and reinforces the yacht’s profile.
Bathing platform and interior developed with Design Unlimited
The hydraulically operated bathing platform extends access directly to the water and can be lowered for swimming or used to launch a fully inflated Williams 280 Jet Tender, a SEABOB or other water toys.
An integrated telescoping ladder adjusts to the platform position, creating a direct connection between the cockpit and the sea.
The interior was developed in collaboration with Design Unlimited and marks a new direction for FJORD’s design language. Refined materials, layered lighting and carefully considered surfaces are intended to create a warm, contemporary and premium atmosphere.
Generous hull windows bring natural light into the cabins, while the choice of colours, textures and details allows the interior to reflect the owner’s style.
Below deck, the yacht offers two cabins, including a full-beam midships cabin with a double bed, sofa and generous headroom. A separate head with an enclosed shower serves both cabins.
The central lower-deck area can be configured with either an integrated galley or an additional seating space, adding flexibility to the layout.
FJORD says the new 440 Open brings together performance, technology and a cockpit designed around how people actually spend time on the water.
