A Bold Evolution of a Classic Explorer
Turkish yacht builder Numarine has established a formidable reputation for long-range explorer yachts since launching its first XP model in 2017. By 2026, the XP Explorer line has grown to eight models, with the new Numarine 27XP serving as the second smallest in the fleet. Based on a video review by the YouTube channel Motor Boat & Yachting, this new vessel is far more than a simple refresh of the outgoing 26XP. The 27XP is 3 feet 3 inches longer, 1 foot wider in the beam, and 12 tons heavier than its predecessor. This significant footprint expansion translates directly into unprecedented interior volume and dramatic styling upgrades, setting a new benchmark for yachts in the 88-foot class.
Massive Flybridge and Clever Deck Layouts
One of the most jaw-dropping features of the Numarine 27XP is its nearly full-length and full-beam flybridge. This vast outdoor entertainment space includes freestanding aft furniture, a dining station for ten guests, a wet bar with an ice maker, and four massive drawer fridges on the port side. Forward of the sociable upper helm is a unique, deeply recessed bow lounge that safely accommodates six to eight people. Because the flybridge is so expansive, helming from the top can make it difficult to see the boat's edges. To solve this, Numarine integrated a third control station tucked into the cockpit wet bar, alongside the main lower helm, to make docking significantly easier.
Main Deck Elegance and a Superyacht-Sized Galley
The main deck features single-level flooring that eliminates tripping hazards and allows a seamless flow of traffic between the cockpit and the saloon. Massive windows and starboard sliding doors flood the saloon with natural light while offering spectacular panoramic views. Moving forward, the yacht boasts an incredibly large galley for this size sector, packed with refrigeration, work surfaces, and dedicated crew side-door access. The lower helm station is equally refined, featuring L-shaped companion seating for four to five guests and a skipper's door. During testing, the helm proved exceptionally quiet, with decibel readings remaining in the low 50s.
Voluminous Cabins and Flexible Configurations
The layout changes on the Numarine 27XP have unlocked incredible living spaces below deck, available in four- or five-cabin configurations. In the standard four-cabin layout, the full-beam master suite sits aft, separated from the engine room by a walk-in wardrobe and a luxury ensuite head with a double rain shower. Guests enjoy a spacious double VIP cabin, a twin cabin, and an exceptional bow VIP suite featuring an angled bed and a private seating area. Powered by engine options ranging from twin MAN 560s to high-performance 1800s—which feature a modified hull design—the Numarine 27XP offers a highly customized, quiet, and exceptionally comfortable cruising experience.
