Aquila Catamarans has introduced the 35 Sport at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, expanding its reimagined center console Sports range with a more compact model inspired by the flagship Aquila 45 Sport.
The new catamaran measures 35'6" overall with a 14'9" beam and is designed to deliver high-speed performance while maximizing usable deck space for socializing. Aquila says the layout centers on three social areas: the bow, the helm and the aft cockpit.
The 35 Sport uses a double-stepped hull and comes standard with twin Mercury Verado V8 300HP outboards. Twin Mercury Verado V10 400HP engines are also available. Aquila says the boat can reach a top speed of 39-45 knots (45-52 mph) and cruise comfortably at 25-34 knots (29-40 mph).
Thanks to its catamaran hull, the 35 Sport is designed for reduced drag and improved stability, while its shallow draft allows access to beach anchorages and coastal waterways.
Social layout and onboard features
The forward bow seating accommodates four people and includes integrated storage. At the aft, a U-shaped seating area with an adjustable backrest can be converted into a sun lounger. The seating can also move side to side at the touch of a button, widening the walkway and making movement around the boat easier.
The aft area also includes a wet bar, sink, storage, a Corian-topped galley block and a Fusion Signature Series audio system with six speakers.
The helm is arranged to keep the captain part of the social space, with four seats featuring flip-down bolster cushions, armrests and adjustable positions. Aquila says the dashboard is set low for better visibility and accessibility, while the design also provides protection from the elements underway.
Below deck, the cabin sleeps two in a queen berth with a memory foam mattress, accessed through a lockable sliding door. A private head with a shower is included, and an optional lithium battery package supports off-grid climate control for weekend cruising.
Additional features include a concealed stainless steel swim ladder, stainless steel side gates and a freshwater pull-out shower at the transom. A C-Zone digital switching system monitors and controls DC power throughout the boat, while the fiberglass hardtop is designed for optional roof racks for SUPs, bicycles and kayaks. An optional Makefast shade system is also available.
