Leo Messi has commissioned a bespoke Sunreef ULTIMA 88, a 26.8-metre power catamaran now under construction at Sunreef Yachts’ shipyard in the United Arab Emirates. Designed for time at sea with his family, the yacht is set to join Messi’s MIM Ocean fleet in the Balearic Islands.
The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner’s yacht will have twin 1,000HP engines and a custom interior with a full-beam owner’s suite and four guest cabins.
Features designed for life on the water
The ULTIMA 88 will include an Ocean Lounge with fold-out side terraces, a hydraulic platform and direct access to the sea. Its dedicated garage will accommodate a jet ski, while the flybridge and outdoor lounges will provide space for relaxation and entertaining.
Sunreef describes the model as a luxury performance catamaran combining advanced engineering with indoor and outdoor living areas. The yacht’s layout and interior will be personalized for Messi.
“It’s a real pleasure to join the Sunreef family. My family and I have always loved spending time at sea whenever we get the chance,” Messi said.
“Sunreef Yachts have the style and features I really like, and they’re a perfect fit for what I’m looking for. I’m really looking forward to experiencing the ULTIMA 88 and enjoying it with my family.”
Sunreef Yachts founder and CEO Francis Lapp said the company was proud to welcome Messi and his family. “At Sunreef Yachts, we believe that true luxury is the freedom to choose how you spend your time, with the people who matter most. The sea gives us that freedom in its purest form,” he said.
